A. WORKING HOLIDAY VISAS (SUBCLASS 417)
Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 417) is for people aged 18 to 30 years of age, who are interested in a working holiday of up to 12 months in Australia.
For people from Belgium, Canada, Republic of Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Taiwan and the United Kingdom.
417 Visa applicants must be outside Australia when they apply and when the (first working holiday) visa is granted. Online first Working Holiday visa applications can be lodged from anywhere outside Australia. You cannot include family members in your application for this visa. If a family member or partner wants to come with you to Australia, they must apply for their own visa to Australia.
A first Working Holiday visa cannot be extended beyond the 12 month validity period. However, if you have completed three months of specified work in regional Australia on your first Working Holiday visa, you may be eligible to apply for a second Working Holiday visa.
B. WORK AND HOLIDAY VISAS (SUBCLASS 462)
The Work and Holiday Visa (Subclass 462) is for young people aged 18 to 30 who want to travel and work for up to 12 months in Australia. This visa allows you to supplement the cost of your holiday through periods of temporary or casual employment.
462 Visa is designed to encourage cultural exchange and closer ties between arrangement countries.
